CV

Piotr Mazur joined Department of Microelectronics and Computer Science (DMCS) in early 2005, in 2007 he received his MSc degree with thesis subject of "Redundant Monitoring System for Distributed Server Farms".

During his work at the Microelectronics and Informatics Research Center at Technical University of Lodz he participated in many local and international projects including Xfel and Perplexus. His activities are also documented in various publications presented mostly during international conferences.

He is also involved in the CTI project realised in cooperation of four faculties at Technical University of Lodz, where he is responsible for preparing and managing Multimedia Systems Research Laboratory.

He is also a beneficary of the ESF scholarhip programme, and was awarded the scholarship for the second time for being in the top five PhD students on the faculty. As a part of ESF programme he also leads two courses during post-graduate studies.

As a part of his PhD thesis he is currently researching methods of improving perceptive voice quality transmitted over low-qality IP networks. Opening of this PhD thesis is sheduled for the second part of 2010.
